  • How much will this cost?
    Costs can vary depending on insurance coverage.
  • Will my insurance cover this?
    Yes! We are contracted with several insurance companies including Aetna, BCBS (state and federal), United Healthcare, Medicare, Humana, Coventry, Kancare -Aetna Better Health, Sunflower and United Community Plan, and Cigna. **As every insurance policy is different, we encourage you to verify your benefits prior to being seen at your initial appointment. This can be done in 3 easy steps: Call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card Ask if dietitian services are covered and provide billing codes 97802 and 97803. Ask if there are any limitations to coverage and if you need a referral from your doctor
  • How long will my appointment last?
    Initial appointments are generally 60 min. and follow up visits are 15-30 min. depending on insurance coverage.
  • Do you offer virtual visits?
    Yes! We can offer telehealth visits and meet either through video or phone.
  • Will you give me a meal plan?
    Maybe. Each appointment is different and tailored to what works best for you.
  • I'm ready to schedule, what do I do now?
    Great! You can call our office at 316-252-1154. Please be sure to fill out our new client forms and send them in prior to your appointment. The more information we have ahead of time, the more we can accomplish at that initial appointment.
  • How do I get to your office?
    We are located at 9415 E Harry St. Suite 407, Wichita KS 67207. Take the drive closest to Walgreens, follow that until the second Right, we're on the corner of the building.
  • How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
    You can call our office at 316-252-1154. **please be sure to leave a voicemail as we will not answer if we are in with a client at the time.
  • What's the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
    Registered Dietitians: -Have a minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited university/college with coursework approved by ASCEND. -Have completed an internship of at least 1200 supervised practice hours--taking about 1-2 years and typically unpaid. -Passed a National Registration Exam. -Meets requirements by state for licensure. -Must maintain continuous education for both national and state licensing. -Is a credentialed professional who is able to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy. -Is recognized by insurance and can have services covered. -Practices within a written code of ethics and scope of practice to ensure safety that is monitored and maintained by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Nutritionists: -No minimum education requirements. -Not an accredited title and not protected by law. -Prohibited from practicing Medical Nutrition Therapy. -Can be a self-appointed title with no regulations, no registration, and no licensure required.
